While there were some points of disagreement, the majority of commissioners supported endorsing EPR language for paint and mattresses, as well as batteries and electronics.
The monthly recycling initiative is typically held on the second Saturday, though schedules may shift in response to holidays, weather, or unforeseen operational needs.
DEC also released its annual statewide greenhouse gas emissions report on Monday, which analyzed emissions from 2023. The report found the state’s overall emissions were down 14% from a 1990 baseline.
These items—and all materials already accepted—can now be dropped off at the Negus, Southwest, and Northwest Transfer Stations, along with the Knott Landfill site.
