Due to the threat of inclement weather, the Household Hazardous Materials (HHM) collection event and the recycling drop-off events scheduled for this Saturday (June 6, 2026) have been cancelled.
The tire collection program was supported through the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s Rehabilitation Environmental Action Plan (REAP) program.
Accordingly, APR will provide technical tools, recyclability criteria and training programs to help expand markets for post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials.
The proposed Meadowview facility would include a 31,000-square-foot waste transfer station and a 3,500-square-foot recycling center located south of the existing landfill near Route 83 and Buckley Road.
As part of expansion of its work, additional members from the insurance sector, towing industry, and the Maryland Port Administration will join the commission.
