Trex Company Launched Revamped Community Recycling Challenge

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Trex Company announced thorough revamp of its NexTrex Plastic Film Recycling Challenge. The new streamlined structure makes the process simple, thus making the program more accessible. The revised community recycling challenge program was launched on 28th August, 2023.

The major change is that it has now transformed itself into a self-initiated challenge from a competition-driven model. The process has been made simple, thus providing opportunities for more number of participants to earn recognition and rewards for their recycling efforts. Accordingly, collection of at least 1,000 pounds of recycled plastic film in a year makes the participating organization eligible to receive a composite bench as reward.

Emily Whitacre, recycling programs coordinator at Trex Company noted that the company is committed to educating and engaging the public in the responsible recycling of plastic film. The revised challenge aims to make it easier for organizations to be part of its upcycling process, she added.

All registered participants will be provided up to three collection bins along with detailed explanation of the program guidelines and list of qualifying materials.

Trex welcomed returning and new participants to be part of the revamped NexTrex Plastic Film Recycling Challenge.
