Northern Rrecycling and Waste buy back center in paradise announces closure

PARADISE, Calif. – The Northern Recycling and Waste Buy Back Center in Paradise has shut down.

The operations manager at Northern Recycling and Waste, Andrew Guidi said it’s due to a lack of funding.

People in Paradise used to come to the Buy Back Center on Fridays and Saturdays to drop off recyclables for cash. But all that is over now, due to not enough funding and that impact from the Camp Fire.

“With the recycling market on a downturn during this moment, we had to pay to get rid of some of this material so it's in the best business interest of us still trying to reel from the Camp Fire to shut that piece down,” said Andrew Guidi, OPS Manager.

Guidi hopes that people will continue to recycle by visiting other local recycling resources. Though the Buy Back is closed, Guidi said that the company will continue to move forward with its recycling efforts in town.
