McDonald County recycling program is back up and running

MCDONALD COUTY, Mo. - McDonald County Commissioners have reinstated a recycling program.

The main location for recycling drop-off will be the same, in the parking lot in front of the McDonald County Sheriff's Office. Businesses and schools will have their own recycling containers. Region M is still in charge of the program and the recycled items will continue to go to the Neosho Recycling Center.

For better efficiency, McDonald County Commissioners created a manager over the recycling in the area, and Commissioner John Bunch says the position has been great for the program.

Recycling in the area was put on hold at the beginning of this year following problems over timely pick-up of the trash.
