Prior to Glass Half Full’s entry, New Orleans did not have any facility for recycling glass. From 2020 till date, the organization has diverted millions of pounds of glass from landfills by converting them to useful products.

By launching glass recycling in Birmingham, Glass Half Full aims to reduce environmental footprints and generate significant economic benefits. The organization has long been aiming to make Birmingham a hub of their operations.

Glass Half Full will donate a truck-load of glass aggregate to be used for demonstration and samples in Birmingham. The materials will be transported from New Orleans. The trucking costs for shifting the materials will be covered with donations. The samples will be provided for donations over $20. Those who donate over $50 will get an invitation to the luncheon and seminar, in addition to receiving samples.
