City of Alpharetta to Host Special Recycling Event Tomorrow

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): A mega collection and recycling event will be conducted tomorrow at the Alpharetta Department of Public Works, located at 1790 Hembree Road from 8:30 AM until 12:00 PM. The event is held in co-ordination between the City of Alpharetta and the Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission. It will be open for North Fulton businesses and residents.

The special collection event will accept electronics, select hard-to-recycle plastics, Styrofoam and documents for shredding.

Atlanta Recycling Solutions will be responsible for recycling of electronics collected during the event. All electronic items will be accepted for free, except televisions and CRT devices which will be charged $30 per unit and projection TVs at the rate of $50 each. No console units or TV tubes will be accepted.

A mobile on-site shredding truck will ensure safe shredding of confidential documents. There will be a strict limit of five boxes per household/business. The collection will stop as and when the truck gets filled.

The city, in partnership with Green Cell Inc. will accept clean and dry plastic containers #1-2 and #5-6 during the event. The containers must be separated by numbers and clearly marked for easy identification. The event will not accept #1 PET bottles, #2 HDPE jugs and bottles.
