Union County to Hold Special Fall Recycling Event

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The Union County Board of Commissioners announced that it will hold a special recycling event this fall. The event named ‘Beyond the Bin’ will be held at the Union County Vocational Technical School in 1776 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Union County Commissioner Chairman Sergio Granados stated that the event is one among many steps taken by the County to make the community environmentally conscious and responsible. The event makes it remarkable easy for residents to dispose of a wide variety of unwanted items on the same day at a single location.

The ‘Beyond the Bin’ recycling program is being held in collaboration with various organizations such as MRM, Helpsy, Waste Management and GoaTote Inc., who will take responsibility of collection and disposal of covered electronic devices, plastic film, clothing/textiles, non-plastic reusable shopping bags, food waste and Styrofoam, said the news release.

The event is held in partnership with the Union County Board of Commissioners, in collaboration with the Union County Bureau of Recycling and Planning and the Union County Department of Public Works.
