According to press release by the City of Erie Government, the yearly event will allow city residents to dispose of their unwanted tires from passenger vehicles or light trucks, maximum of up to six tires per resident. Meantime, tires on rims will not be accepted.

Also, the recycling collection event provides an opportunity to get rid of their broken and unwanted electronics items. The accepted items include TVs, desktop, laptop and tablet computers, computer monitors, printers and computer accessories such as keyboards, mice, speakers etc.

The City organizes the recycling collection event every year, as the state law prohibits residents from throwing out electronic items such as TVs, computers and accessories and similar items along with regular trash. The city’s weekly pick-up program too does not collect electronics or tires.
