TerraCycle Partners with VTech on Expanded Recycling Program

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): VTech and TerraCycle have partnered to offer consumers an opportunity to either drop-off their broken VTech or LeapFrog electronic toys at local public drop-off locations or ship in their toys for responsible recycling by TerraCycle through a campaign.

The public drop-off location program will help children realize the importance of being sustainable responsible. Schools and organizations could become public drop-off centers, thus providing local communities with an opportunity to divert a prominent waste stream from landfills and recycling them into new useful products.

In case the residents could not locate any public drop-off locations in their vicinity, they could sign up for the recycling program on the TerraCycle program page, download a prepaid shipping label and mail in the electronic toys. For every shipment, they earn points, which in turn can be donated to a non-profit, school or charitable organization of their choice. The campaign will be open until 31st January, 2023.

Andy Keimach, President, VTech Electronics North America hoped that initiative will encourage consumers to join the company’s sustainability efforts by participating in the toy recycling program. The company’s partnership with TerraCycle is part of its commitment to its Sustainability Plan 2025.
