SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Santa Maria Utilities Department will be distributing free recycle bins this Saturday to promote houshold recycling.

The event will be held at the Santa Maria Regional Landfill at 2065 East Main St.

Bins can be picked up at the department's distribution booth at the recycling park. The bins are 18 gallons and are ideal for recycling paper, magazines, cans, glass and cardboard.

Anyone interested in getting a bin are told to access the distribution booth after entering the landfill from the scalehouse. 

There is a limit of two bins per household while supplies last.
