SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Leading Australian automotive parts distributor RPM Automotive Group Limited announced that the installation of Fornnax’s high-capacity SR-200 HD primary shredder into its operations last year has yielded notable processing improvements.
According to the company, the new shredder has resulted in substantial improvement in the company’s production efficiency and considerable enhancement to the quality of its recycled materials. The shredder is capable of processing vast quantities of waste tires, while ensuring optimal operational performance.
Currently, the 3,500-square-meter recycling facility of RPM has capacity to process more than 180 tons of discarded tires every week. The company plans to expand its operations so as to process in excess of 300 tons of tires per week. At full capacity, the facility will account for nearly 5% share of national used tire processing market.
RPM uses a proprietary technology to transform discarded tires into recycled rubber-based products, which are then used in various road infrastructure projects.
By partnering with Fornnax, RPM is expected to leveraging its existing distribution network and customer base. This would help the company achieve an ambitious target of collecting and recycling up to 54,000 tons of end-of-life tires within the next five years.
