The company has been operating in Portland for nearly two decades, providing recovery of construction and demolition materials. It had recently made an investment of approximately $7 million in the facility, aimed at upgrading its dry-waste facility using state-of-the-art technologies. The facility, certified by the Recycling Certification Institute, claims to be the facility with highest recycling rate in the entire region.

Terrell Garrett, Founder and CEO, GreenWay Recycling stated that the company is honoured to receive the award. It likes to share the recognition with Metro for their great support to the C&D recyclers in the region. The company will continue to explore ways to reuse materials in the waste stream more innovatively, thus contributing to the welfare of the environment and residents.

The newly upgraded C&D recovery facility demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment towards a more sustainable future, Garrett added.
