SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Liberty Waste Solutions has expanded its footprint in North Carolina with the acquisition of Randolph County Garbage Services, a residential subscription-based waste collection provider headquartered in Asheboro.
The deal strengthens Liberty’s presence across the greater Greensboro and Triad region, while enhancing route density and operational efficiency. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition builds on Liberty’s recent purchase of AJ Disposal and aligns with its broader growth strategy focused on regional consolidation and service expansion. Randolph County Garbage Services has long served residential customers in the Asheboro area, and Liberty aims to continue delivering reliable, high-quality waste collection services under its platform.
Chief Executive Officer Rick Prather stated that the deal reflects the company’s commitment to the Triad region and its goal of maintaining trusted community relationships. Since receiving backing from Allied Industrial Partners in 2022, Liberty has modernized its fleet, adopted advanced routing technologies, and expanded its service offerings.
In April 2024, the company divested its scrap metal division to focus solely on integrated waste solutions. Backed by Allied, Liberty continues to pursue a buy-and-build strategy, with this acquisition marking another step toward long-term growth and operational scale.
