SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Due to the threat of inclement weather, the Household Hazardous Materials (HHM) collection event and the recycling drop-off events scheduled for this Saturday (June 6, 2026) have been cancelled. Recycling at the Metairie and Marrero drop-off sites will resume on Saturday, June 13, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., weather permitting; the HHM event has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of the John A. Alario Sr. Event Center (2000 Segnette Blvd., Westwego, LA 70094).
