Residents are encouraged to make advance reservations, although drive-up participants may be entertained if capacity allows. All items brought for recycling must fit inside a standard residential vehicle and be readily accessible for unloading, officials noted.
Weld County Commissioner Chair Scott James reminded residents of the importance of responsible electronics recycling, as it not only keeps harmful substances including lead and mercury away from landfills and waterways, but also helps in recovery of several valuable materials from discarded electronics.
