FCC to Begin Trash, Recycling Services in Palm Coast

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): FCC Environmental Services will replace Waste Pro as the trash and recycling services provider at the City of Palm Coast with effect from 1st June, 2023.

According to a social media post by the city, routes and pickups will largely remain the same. Any changes in routes will be posted on city’s website. In case of potential changes with trash or recycling, the city will send a mailer to residents. The cost of the services will be $32.32 per month per household, which is higher when compared with the current rate of $29.97 per month. It must be noted that the contract with Waste Pro had come to an end in July last year.

Waste Pro, FCC Environmental and GFL Solid Waste Southeast placed bids. The proposal by Waste Pro was $32.35 per month for household, whereas that by GFL was $38.

The city’s contract with FCC Environmental to collect residential solid waste is for a period of seven years with a three-year extension option. It will provide collection services to nearly 40,000 residential units.
