Concord Declares Changes in Garbage and Recycling Collection


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Starting next month, the City of Concord will bring garbage and recycling services in-house. This is aimed at providing better, more reliable service to residents.

According to city new release, the collection calendar will shift to a 4 day week. All collections will take place Monday to Thursday. Consequently, holiday weeks will see a more consistent collection schedule, it noted. There will be some adjustments in certain routes in order to accommodate the new four-day collection schedule. The new collection routes will come effective from the week of 3rd-7th July, 2023.

In order to know whether there is any change in garbage and recycling collection day, one has to visit concordnc.gov/whatsmyday and enter address into the map to determine if their collection day is changing. The color of recycling and bulky waste collection week will be either a blue week or a green week, which should be noted.
