Ascend Elements Collaborates with Call2Recycle to Provide Battery Recycling Services

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Ascend Elements has entered into a collaboration with Call2Recycle- the most active battery recycling program in the U.S. and Canada, with the aim to provide customised battery management, logistics and recycling services for electric vehicles.

The collaboration deal will combine the industry-leading electric vehicle battery recycling infrastructure and technologies of Ascend Elements with the collection, logistics and tracking capabilities of Call2Recycle. The programme will have access to cloud-based all-in-one platform, GreenTraxEV, which in turn will enable shipping of end-of-life and damaged EV batteries.

The collaboration targets to collect and recycle the equivalent of over 300,000 electric vehicle battery packs by the end of the current decade. It must be noted that Ascend’s processing facilities in Georgia has capacity to process up to 30,000 metric tons per year.

Commenting on the development, Leo Raudys, CEO of Call2Recycle noted that the agreement will enable a convenient collection process through its state-of-the-art GreenTraxEV logistics platform. Meantime, Ian Braime, Chief Commercial Officer at Ascend Elements shared the hope that the collaboration will benefit automotive dealerships, repair shops and recyclers.
