SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) announced appointment of key operations leadership team to assist with the commissioning of its lithium-ion battery recycling facility, with a capability to process 20,000 metric tonnes per year of feedstock to manufacture battery grade metals.
According to the company, Kevin Gagnon has joined ABTC as its Battery Recycling Plant Manager. Prior to joining the company, he has served for Panasonic Energy North America as the General Manager of Electrode Manufacturing at the Battery Gigafactory in Sparks, Nevada. Also, he has served lead operations roles in Honeywell, Majilite, Catalina Graphic Films, and Ashland Chemical.

Dan Lieber has joined the company as its Senior Manager of EHS. He has been working at Tesla leading Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) operations at the Battery Gigafactory in Sparks, Nevada for the past five years.
Also, Mike Banks, who has been working as a Production Engineering Supervisor and Associate Manager for Tesla at the Battery Gigafactory in Sparks, Nevada, has joined ABTC as its Operations Maintenance Manager.
Ryan Melsert, CEO, ABTC noted that the company is excited to have such a talented and experienced set of operations leaders join it as it progress through the commissioning and ramp up of its first of kind facilities.
