City of Anniston Opened Two New Recycling Stations

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The City of Anniston has announced opening of two new recycling stations to the general public. They are located at the parking lots of the Anniston City Meeting Center at 1615 Noble Street and the Norwood Hodges Community Center at 3125 Spring Valley Road.

Jackson Hodges, Public Relations Director, City of Anniston noted that the opening of the recycling stations is in response to the growing demand for recyclable options. The stations will be open 24/7, except during times when they are emptied to make it ready to accept more recyclables from City residents. The stations will be monitored daily, with recyclables emptied by Republic Services to their recycling centres across the state for further processing, Hodges noted.

Both the recycling stations will accept a wide range of recyclable materials, including cardboard, paper, metal cans, plastic bottles, and jugs. All the recyclables must be free of food and liquid. The City urged the residents to not put recyclables in containers or bags. Also, it reminded residents to make proper use of the recycling stations, so as to avoid any situation of rejection of contents by recycling centres.
