SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The Zoo Atlanta Green Team will host its second annual e-waste recycling event on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will be held at Zoo Atlanta, 800 Cherokee Avenue, S.E., Atlanta, GA 30315.
The event will accept small electronics, which will be recycled through partners at ecocell. The event will support the Gorillas on the Line … Answer the Call campaign. The proceeds from small electronics recycling will be in support of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ (AZA) Gorilla SAFE (Saving Animals from Extinction) Program.
The accepted items include cell phones, smartphones, iPads, iPods, smartwatches and digital cameras in any condition.

Participants are asked to bring their unwanted electronic items to the circular drive outside Savanna Hall, which is situated on the Grant Park side of the lot, just past the base of the Cherokee Avenue parking lot. The Green Team members will be prepared to help with unloading.
Residents can also dispose of their major electrical items during the event. Monitors, desktop and laptop computers, keyboards, mouse, servers, networking hardware, circuit boards, RAM, CPUs, wires and cables, hard drives, printers, copiers, projectors, phones, point-of-sale systems, DVD players, scanners, and UPS devices are among the products that are accepted. In collaboration with Prime Asset Recovery, the gathered objects will be recycled properly.
