The City reminded its residents that used electronic items are banned from Colorado landfills. Unlawful disposal of such wastes will lead to serious environmental problems, it said.

The special recycling collection event will accept a wide range of electronic items including desktop computers, laptops, cell phones, tablets, gaming equipment, consumer electronics and similar devices.

The City statement said that each carload will be $5, along with LCD monitors and floor model printers. There will be an additional fee of $10 each for LED/LCD flat screen televisions, $20 each for CRT monitors/TVs and $40 each for console, projection or DLP TVs.
