Town of Perinton to Host Annual Community Recycling Day


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The Town of Perinton will host Annual Community Recycling Day, thereby offering convenient disposal solutions for its residents. The drive-thru event is scheduled to be held at Perinton’s Department of Public Works, located at 100 Cobb’s Lane, on 11th May, 2024, Saturday from 7.45 AM till noon.

Recycle Saline to Hold Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Event

The event offers free electronics recycling services, in partnership with EWASTE+. It will collect a wide range of electronics such as TVs, computers, printers, phones and microwaves free of charge. Free on-site shredding services will be offered in collaboration with Shred-Text. It will accept up to 4-5 boxes of paper per vehicle. Residents need not remove staples or paperclips.

In addition, a hazardous waste collection service will be offered to residents in partnership with Monroe County. The participation in this event will be only through prior appointment. Those with appointment could dispose of up to 30 gallons of liquid and 75 pounds of solid household hazardous waste. The event will not accept items such as used motor oil & vehicle batteries, pharmaceutical waste, propane tanks, cans of dried paint, everyday alkaline batteries as well as glazing/spackle & joint compounds.

Town Supervisor Ciaran Hanna urged residents to make best use of the opportunityto properly dispose of and recycle unwanted items.
