Erie County Recycling Program to Collect Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The Erie County Recycling Program has released the calendar of collection events during the current year. The collection events, held in association with Noble Environmental Specialty Recycling will be open to all Erie County residents, subject to pre-registration. There will be a disposal fee of 50 cents per pound of collected waste.

There will be a total of five collection events during the remaining part of the year, the date and location for which are as follows: May 2, 1001 Atkins St., June 15, 36 Bessemer St, Albion, Aug. 17, 9333 Tate Road, Oct. 19, 1230 Townhall Road and Nov. 16, 9333 Tate Road.

The events will accept various e-waste including TVs and TV equipment, Air conditioners, Microwaves, Mobile Phones and Tablets, Phones and Phone Equipment, Laptops and Desktop Computers, Mice, Keyboard, Monitors, Modems, Hard Drives, Copiers, Fax Machines, Printers, Electric Typewriters, CD and Cassette Players, Stereos, Speakers and Radios.

The accepted household hazardous waste include Antifreeze, Pesticides, Corrosive/Caustics, Chlorine products, Flammable Products, Oil, Batteries, Florescent Bulbs, Paints, Paint Products and Mercury-Containing Devices.
