SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Recycle Saline will hold a household hazardous waste disposal event at 1218 River Street, Benton, AR 72015 on Saturday, April 6th, 2024 9 AM to 12 Noon.

Those who wish to participate in the event are required to purchase $10 coupon at the Recycle Saline office located at 520 Edison Ave., Benton, AR 72015. They need to carry along with them their driving license or state ID with current Saline County Address. A recent current bill with current address will also be accepted.

The person who picks up the coupon must be present while dropping off items at the CTS facility. The coupons can be redeemed at the facility in return for the materials. The coupons are non-refundable and non-transferable and will be valid only for the current year. A maximum of 4 coupons can be purchased per household.

The accepted items are paint and thinners, oil and fuel, anti-freeze, pool chemicals, household cleaning chemicals, fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, automobile cleaning supplies and aerosol cans. There will be a limit of 5 gallons per vehicle, with additional costs applicable anything in excess of that limit.

Items not included in the coupon will be charges. For example, small propane cylinders will be charged at $3 per unit, large BBQ propane cylinders at $10 per unit and mercury containing fluorescent bulb at $0.12 per foot.
