SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): TerraCycle Commercial, a division of TerraCycle, has announced the acquisition of Connecticut-based NLR Inc. The transaction further strengthens its presence in the U.S. universal waste recycling sector.
NLR is the fourth company to join TerraCycle Commercial’s growing portfolio. Earlier, the company had acquired Air Cycle Corporation, Complete Recycling Solutions, and North Coast Services. The latest addition is expected to expand TerraCycle’s collection network and operational reach across the Northeastern U.S. region.

Further to the acquisition, NLR’s East Windsor operations and workforce will remain in place under the leadership of co-founder Robert E. Robert, thus ensuring uninterrupted service to customers. Meanwhile, co-founder Ray Graczyk will retire after a service spanning almost three decades.
Additionally, customers will also have access to EPA-recognized Responsible Recycling (R2) Certified facilities operated by Complete Recycling Solutions in Massachusetts and North Coast Services in New Hampshire.
Commenting on the development, TerraCycle CEO Tom Szaky stated that the acquisition promises to significantly enhance the company’s regional collection capacity. The deal is in line with the company’s previously announced strategy to scale innovative solutions for the regulated waste recycling industry.
