Rumpke and Circleville, OH Launched Curbside Recycling Program

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): A new curbside recycling program has been launched by Rumpke Waste and Recycling in collaboration with the City of Circleville, Ohio. On June 2, 2025, the firm executives and representatives from the Ross, Pickaway, Highland and Fayette Counties (RPHF) Solid Waste District and the City of Circleville celebrated the program's inauguration.

The City will transport the recyclables to Columbus's The Rumpke Recycling & Resource Center, where they will be processed with cutting-edge recycling equipment. Nearly 98% of the recycling will be recovered by the Center and sent to manufacturers within a 250-mile radius.

In January, the City started advertising and announcing the recycling membership program.

Customers will receive a 65-gallon recycling cart upon enrolling in the program. Aluminum and steel cans, paper, cartons, cardboard, paper cups, plastic bottles, tubs, cups, clamshell containers, glass bottles, and jars are just a few of the many objects that can be placed in the cart. Every Monday, the city will offer recycling pickup.

Rumpke's Region Vice President, Mark O'Brien, expressed gratitude to the solid waste district and the City of Circleville for their crucial cooperation and support.
