revalyu Resources Broke Ground on Bulloch PET Recycling Plant


SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): revalyu Resources broke ground on a new PET recycling plant in Gateway Regional Industrial Park, Bulloch County. The proposed $200 million plant will have annual recycling capacity of 200 million pounds of PET plastic.

According to company press release, the construction of the initial phase of the plant will be completed by Q3 next year. The plant will provide employment to 121 people, 71 in the first phase and 50 in second phase.

Jan van Kisfeld, managing director of revalyu noted that the advanced recycling plant, its fist in the U.S, will serve the rising demand for recycled PET pellets of its existing and future U.S. customers. The plant will serve the customers directly from the U.S., thus lowering transportation time and reducing costs as well as carbon footprints. It must be noted that revalyu has been supplying recycled PET pellets to manufacturers in the U.S. for more than six years now. The Statesboro plant marks an important step in its U.S. expansion plans, he added.

Vivek Tandon, Founder of revalyu thanked the Development Authority of Bulloch County for their incredible support in establishing the plant in the County. Meantime, Benjy Thompson, CEO of the Development Authority stated that region is thrilled to host the first U.S. site for revalyu and their truly innovative technology.
