SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Republic Services and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 25 came to a new collective bargaining agreement. The union members' one-month strike action in the Boston area has come to an end. It is anticipated that over a dozen communities would resume full services. It should be mentioned that on July 1st, the strike action started.

According to a statement issued by the union, a five-year wage increase of 46% was achieved. Compared to the company's most recent publicly announced offer of a 43% rise, this is marginally greater. Along with several other terms of employment, the new contract offers improvements in a number of benefits.
Republic Services, meanwhile, expressed gratitude to the residents in the Boston area for their patience during the previous few weeks.
Approximately 450 union members have already resumed their jobs Monday, according to sources.
Maura Healey, the governor of Massachusetts, expressed her satisfaction with the agreement reached between Republic and Teamsters Local 25. Sanitation personnel can now resume their jobs with the pay and benefits they are entitled to. Additionally, Healey said, it is good news for the communities and people Republic serves.
