Montana Recycling Event Honored Industry Leaders


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The Recycle Montana Legislative Event held yesterday at the Capital Rotunda witnessed lively discussions on existing recycling practices. Furthermore, it also honoured prominent recycling leaders in the state.

The winner of the Recycler of the Year and Lifetime Recycling Achievement Award was David Leverett, Vice President of Bozeman-headquarterd ‘We Recycle Montana’. While receiving the award, Leverett dedicated it to the hard work put in by the entire staff of all the families and each and every single person who has contributed to the huge recycling success. It must be noted that We Recycle Montana has been successful in creating large number of jobs.

Additionally, a grant of $10,000 was allocated to Twin Bridges Future Farmers of America, who in turn plans to utilize the money to rehabilitate a trailer that can be used for recycling. The trailer will play a key role in encouraging community members to recycle more. Furthermore, it will be used for other tasks such as roadside cleanups.

During the event, seven vendors displayed their recycling or composting business and/or wares made of recycled, upcycled, and repurposed materials. The event highlighted the importance of promoting recycling services in order to keep the state clean, green and beautiful.
