Meridian Waste Announced Asset Acquisition of Foothills Waste Solutions, LLC


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Foothills Waste Solutions, LLC's assets have been acquired by Meridian Waste North Carolina, LLC. The deal will greatly increase the company's operational presence in the Research Triangle Region and take effect on January 1, 2025.

Through the deal, Meridian will expand its portfolio to include Foothill Waste's current hauling plant, which is situated at 5307 NC Highway 704 East, Sandy Ridge, NC 27046. The building will be used to run its maintenance and administrative activities, with a primary focus on serving recently acquired clients.

As a result of this transaction, Meridian currently operates throughout the counties of Forsyth, Guilford, Rockingham, Stokes, and Surry. Furthermore, it provides exclusive residential services for the Village of Tobaccoville, the Towns of King, Mayodan, Bethania, Danbury, and Walnut Cove.

The former Foothill Waste owners, Justin and Jeffrey Shelton, will join Meridian Waste, guaranteeing a seamless transfer and carrying out the hauling operations at the Sandy Ridge site. The remaining members of the Foothill Waste crew will switch to Meridian Waste as well.

According to Meridian Waste CEO Walter "Wally" Hall, North Carolina is a very productive region for the business.
