Lawsuit Alleges Missed Recycling Pickups by Republic Recycling

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): A lawsuit has been filed against Republic Recycling alleging missed recycling pickups by the company, which in turn caused damages to customers. The class action lawsuit was filed by Indianapolis-based law firm Cohen & Malad, LLC.

The lawsuit was initially filed on behalf of Marion County residents, to help them recover payments for missed pickups. However, the firm later stated that its intention is not limited to a particular county alone, but includes all Republic Recycling customers across the state. Meantime, Republic Recycling has attempted to file several motions challenging the validity of statewide lawsuit.

This is not the first time that residents have raised concerns over the company’s trash and recycling pickup service. The company was alleged for weeks of inconsistent trash pickup in January this year by multiple residents belonging to Indianapolis, Avon, Shelbyville, Brownsburg and Mooresville. A similar complaint of trash accumulation was raised by multiple homeowners and apartment complexes in August 2021.

Cohen & Malad, LLC urged customers with complaints about the company’s trash and recycling pickup services to contact its class action law team.
