SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): In early June of this year, Joplin City, Missouri, will hold a free tire drop-off event. The Old Lone Elm Plant, located at 2214 N. Lone Elm Road, will host the event on Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Joplin Recycling Center, 1310 West A Street, Joplin, MO 64801, has hosted such activities over the years. To make more room for collecting, it has been relocated to North Lone Elm Road this time. Drivers are asked to access Lone Elm Road from the south.

Residents in Joplin as well as those in the counties of Jasper, Newton, McDonald, Barton, and Vernon are welcome to attend. The Recycling Center is organizing the collection event in collaboration with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the Region M Solid Waste District.
Car passenger tires, with or without rims, are accepted for the drop-off event. It is necessary for the homeowners to clear the tires of any dirt and water. Racing tires, semis, tractors, and ATVs are among the things that are not permitted. Less than 20 inches should be the rim width. Ten vehicles are allowed per vehicle. Additionally, the City news release said that repeated visits would not be accepted.
