Indianapolis Announced Multiple E-Waste Recycling Events


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Indianapolis is seen gearing up for two e-waste recycling collection events.

The first of the two events will be held at the Arts Center in Garfield Park, 2505 Conservatory Drive this Saturday, September 30, 2023. The five-hour event from 9 AM to 2 PM, will be hosted by the Indianapolis Department of Public Works. The traffic will be directed by on-site staff. The residents are requested to remain in cars, while volunteers offload materials.

Marion County residents are encouraged to drop off household hazardous waste as well as unwanted electronics items during the “Tox-Away Day” event. It must be noted that it is illegal in Indiana to dispose of electronics in household trash.

In addition, the Colts will host an electronics savings day on 7th October, 2023 8AM to 12 Noon. The event will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium, 500 S. Capitol Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46225. The event is being sponsored by Republic Services. It is held in partnership with Tech Recyclers- a local electronics recycling company who guarantees safe data destruction and responsible recycling of collected devices.

The event will not accept paint, toxic chemicals, furniture, wood, tires and clothing.

As per announcement, there is a chance that the event may get delayed, postponed or cancelled due to severe weather.
