Aurora to Host Bi-Annual Electronics Recycling Event


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The City of Aurora will host a free electronics recycling event for its residents. The bi-annual fall drive-thru event will be held on Saturday, September 30 · 8am - 12pm CDT at Bednarcik Junior High School Parking Lot, 3025 Eola Road Aurora, IL 60502 United States

Due to high demand, the participation has been restricted to first 2,500 Aurora residents who register for the event. All residents are required to register for a time slot. Also, businesses are not allowed to participate.

Each vehicle will be limited to two screens- either television or computer screen. However, unlimited number of other electronic items are permitted.

The event will accept approved electronics and household items. The accepted electronics include cables, cable boxes, cameras, cash registers, cell phones, copiers, cords, DVD players, fax machines, keyboards, laptops, printers, print cartridges, projectors, radios, satellite dishes, stereos, typewriters, VCRs and video games,

The event will various household items including blenders, bread makers, carpet sweepers, coffee makers, clocks, curling irons, electric knives, electric toothbrushes, fans, fryers, hair cutters, hairdryers, heaters, holiday lights, irons, landline phones, metal tools, mixers, remotes, shaving equipment, toaster ovens, and vacuum cleaners.
