GFL Acquired Minnesota-based OSI Environmental

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Eveleth, Minnesota-based environmental services firm OSI Environmental announced that it has become part of GFL Environmental Services. Meanwhile, GFL representatives declined to comment on the transaction.

GFL views the transaction as its first since its environmental services business section was recently spun off. As a result of the spin-off, GFL currently holds a 44% interest in the business, with the option to buy it back after five years. The spin-off was launched to increase the division's earnings. With OSI on board, the business will make significant strides in accomplishing that objective.
