SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Leading organic waste processing service provider Convertus Group announced that it has successfully completed acquisition of AIM Group of Companies.
Two of the most seasoned companies in the nation's organic waste processing industry come together in this deal. Additionally, it will strengthen Convertus' standing as Canada's biggest and most sophisticated operator of organic waste processing facilities. It also represents a major step toward its objective of being the top processor of organics in all of North America.
The facilities and operations of AIM, which were formerly held by Maple Reinders Group, are included in the purchase.
Convertus Group CEO Mike Leopold commented on the historic deal, saying the merger of two prominent industry figures with proven track records will help the company establish itself as the biggest organic waste processor in Canada. He stated that by ensuring a sustainable future, the acquisition will enable the business to provide superior customer service.
Convertus Group will run 19 locations after the acquisition, employing over 350 people and processing over 900,000 tonnes of organic waste annually.
