SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The City of Brainers in Minnesota will host an equipment recycling event for government and public entities.

The event is scheduled to be held on May 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the county landfill site in Crow Wing County Solid Waste Office, 15728 State Highway 210, Brainerd. The collection event will accept items such as old computers, phones, printers and copiers. The entities are required to bring their items on a trailer, in the trunk or bed of a truck.

The entities are requested to stop at the landfill office once they reach the landfill site. The items will be reviewed by the attendant, who will direct the vehicle to the disposal area. In order to prevent the chance of roadways being littered with debris, it is requested that all loads be covered. Upon unloading the material, the vehicle will be redirected back to landfill office for reweighing, where they will be provided with a bill for payment.

The cost for businesses will be 40 cents per pound, which will be due for payment on the day of the event or within a month from the date of receipt of the invoice, for those having a charge account at the landfill. The payment could be made either through credit cards or checks.

The government agencies that are eligible for the state contract rates will be billed directly by Dynamic Recycling- the event’s recycling partner.
