SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The City of Farmington announced that it has tied up with a leading electronic waste recycler to hold a collection and recycling event for its residents next month.
The electronics recycling event, which will be held in partnership with Arnold, Missouri-based Capital Gains Recycling, will be held for a period of four hours. It is scheduled to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, in the south parking lot of the Farmington Civic Center, located at 2 Black Knight Drive.

Doug Stotler, Director, Farmington Parks and Recreation noted that the recycling event will accept all electronic items including phones, game consoles, Christmas lights, batteries, Tablets, video/audio equipment, computers, televisions, appliances and power tools. The event is being with the aim of supporting the environment and the local community, Stotler said.
The event will accept other electronic items as well, but for a drop-off fee. They include tube TVs, Tube monitors and Projection TVs-$40 each, LCD/LED/Plasma TV-$15, LCD/LED Monitors-$5 each and Nickel Cadmium batteries-$1 each.
