City of Cuyahoga Falls to Host Electronics Recycling Event


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The city of Cuyahoga Falls has partnered with Summit e-Waste Recycling Solutions to host an electronics recycling event. The event will be held at the Cuyahoga Falls Service Complex, 2560 Bailey Road on Saturday, Sept. 2, 9 AM to 12 Noon. The event will be open to all city residents.

The event precedes the annual Fall Cleanup Program for Cuyahoga Falls Sanitation customers from September 5th to 15th. The city urged residents to place all Fall cleanup refuse at the curb on regularly scheduled trash pickup day by 7:00 a.m. All acceptable trash items will be picked up free of cost. The non-acceptable items include hazardous waste, tires, car parts and large amounts of construction materials.

The accepted items include desktop computers, laptops, printers, cell phones, PDAs, mobile devices, telephones, phone systems, modems, routers, servers, DVD players, VCRs, stereos, game consoles, radios, cables, wires, power adapters, ink and toner cartridges, computer monitors, televisions, batteries and anything that plugs in or uses batteries.

There will be a charge of $10 per piece for CRT tube televisions up to 12” and $20 for bigger ones. All forms of payment will be accepted.

The recycling event will also provide hard disk drive shredding services on-site to city residents.
