SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Williamson County, Tennessee has teamed with City eWaste, a Franklin, Tennessee-based electronics recycling service provider, to provide end-of-life electronic equipment recycling and disposal that is simple and convenient.
Establishing safe drop-off locations that provide citizens with free service is the partnership's goal. As a result, stations will be installed at five different locations: the Williamson County Solid Waste Department and convenience centers in the Tennessee cities of Nolensville, Grassland, Fairview, and College Grove.

Over the past few years, the city of Franklin has increased its efforts to collect e-waste from Williamson County citizens, according to Mac Nolen, Solid Waste Director for Williamson County. Residents may now recycle their belongings without having to make the long trip to the city. He noted that the five additional drop-off locations will enable locals to recycle their waste closer to home.
Nolen said that by preventing e-waste from ending up in the Convenience Center garbage, less solid waste will need to be transferred to the out-of-county disposal facility.
Additionally, according to Nolen, appropriate electronic trash collection and recycling will help keep dangerous materials and heavy metals out of landfills, extending their lifespan.
