Call2Recycle, EVSX to Boost Battery Processing Capacity in Ontario


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Call2Recycle Canada Inc. announced that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with St-Georges Eco-Mining Corp. to boost sorting and processing of batteries in Ontario region.

The processing is scheduled to take place at the Bioveld Complex under the umbrella of the Thorold Multimodal Hub and the Hopa Port Authority in Niagara, Ontario. This will result in significant reduction in transportation costs and deliver time savings. Furthermore, it will provide big boost to the local economy and reduce overall carbon footprints, by focusing on zero-waste technologies.

The MoU promises to deliver significant environmental and economic benefits through sustainable battery recycling process. The joint agreement will help Call2Recycle in its mission to significantly increase the battery collection volume in Ontario.

Joe Zenobio, President of Call2Recycle Canada Inc. noted that it is thrilled to announce the agreement with EVSX- St. Georges’ wholly-owned battery recycling subsidiary. It will bring immense benefits to the battery recycling ecosystem and to the province of Ontario. Meantime, Enrico Di Cesare, CEO of EVSX said that it looks forward to improve and advance battery recycling by deploying its initiatives elsewhere in Canada.
