The monthly recycling program, hosted in partnership with Cumberland Township, offers a reliable local solution for disposing of glass items that are not accepted through curbside recycling services. Residents may bring glass bottles and jars only. Materials such as auto glass, mirrors, ceramics, plate glass, and china are not permitted, as they can contaminate recycling loads and pose safety risks.

Organizers stress the importance of keeping non-accepted items out of collection bins to ensure the recycling process remains efficient and safe. The drop-off operates rain or shine and has been held consistently on the first Saturday of every month since November 2023.

Participants are encouraged to rinse bottles and jars before arrival and transport glass carefully. Volunteers and clear signage will be available to assist during the event. By using the drop-off, residents help reduce landfill waste, conserve natural resources, and support long-term sustainability efforts across Adams County.
