SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): According to the newly published WM 2025 Sustainability Report, WM made notable strides in its continuous dedication to its workers, clients, communities, and the environment.
According to the report, the $3 billion investment that was previously announced to expand its infrastructure for recycling and renewable natural gas (RNG) from 2022 to 2026 is on pace. It opened five WM-owned RNG plants and renovated or constructed 12 recycling facilities in 2024. Over 16 million tons of material were recovered for recycling in the preceding year.

Experts from the organization worked with a diverse range of clients to find and execute sustainability-related projects. As Major League Baseball's Official Sustainability Partner, it provided strategic support for fan education and materials management initiatives.

The business donated $27.6 million to charities last year. According to the study, the company's specific social impact initiatives have helped around 2.6 million individuals since 2022.
