SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The U.S. Senate has confirmed the appointment of David Fotouhi as the Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). He was appointed by President Trump and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Agency. He will work towards advancing EPA’s core mission of protecting human health and environment.

Commenting on the development, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said that he is excited that David Fotouhi is returning to EPA to help the Agency power the Great American Comeback. He congratulated Fotouhi on his swift confirmation and expressed the hope that his experience and vital knowledge of the agency will help advance its core mission.
Meanwhile, Fotouhi said that he is honoured and humbled to rejoin EPA. He pledged to work every day to advance President Trump’s and Administrator Zeldin’s ambitious agenda. Furthermore, he said that he looks forward to working with Administrator Zeldin and the thousands of EPA career professionals to make tangible environmental progress for the Americans.
David Fotouhi is an experienced environmental attorney who has previously served in various senior roles at EPA. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Harvard Law School.
