SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Illegal dumping of materials at community recycling facilities has been cautioned against by Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling (ISWR). It also requested community support to put an end to these kinds of abuses. It should be mentioned that a number of items were discovered left on the ground at drop-off locations, including tires, beds, furniture, wood, and boxes.
According to ISWR, disposing of unacceptable goods at recycling facilities is prohibited. Fines of up to $750 may be imposed for such actions. ISWR cautioned that if unlawful dumping persists, it may be impossible for the local agencies and businesses to preserve the sites.

It asked locals and guests to make sure they only dispose of recyclables that are accepted at the seven community recycling locations. Residents were also advised by ISWR not to leave things on the ground close to the trash cans. Visitors are asked to find another recycling location or return later if the recycling bins are full.
According to a statement from ISWR's Recycling Manager Larry Hartenstein, the majority of Jackson Hole locals take pride in recycling and do it correctly. However, some people put trash in recycling cans or leave things outside the bins, which raises operating costs and poses safety risks.
