The plant’s IT Asset Disposition techniques were widely appreciated. The process completely wipes out the private information, before they are responsibly disposed of or recycled. The processed devices are resold as refurbished products. The commitment to meet strict global guidelines has helped the company to build long-term trust with corporate clients.

Also, Lombardo stated that the company plans to use the Las Vegas plant as a base in west North America to boost waste battery recycling. The company sees Nevada as a logistics hub in the southwest region of the U.S., possessing a business-friendly regulatory environment. Moreover, the state has huge potential for renewable energy, including solar power, thus helping it to achieve the global net zero target, he said.

SK Ecoplant runs a total of 50 e-waste and battery recycling plants in as many as 23 countries across the globe.
