As part of the campaign, schools, community organizations, and small businesses will be provided with easy-to-assemble mail-back recycling boxes. These boxes could be filled with discarded candy wrappers and returned via the campaign partner, UPS.

According to estimates, the U.S consumes approximately 600 million pounds of candy during the Halloween season.

There will be special campaigns around Valentine’s Day, and other seasonal festivities in 2024.

Dan Sampson, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Rubicon said that the campaign highlights its mission to end waste. He thanked all the schools, community groups, and small businesses for their enthusiastic participation in the program over the past several years.
