State Sen. Dan McConchie is hosting a Recycle & Shred Event from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8 in Lake Zurich.

Acceptable items include paper documents, adult and children's bikes, bike parts, accessories and tools, eyeglasses, hearing aids and flags. Televisions, CRTs, and hard drives will not be accepted.

The event is taking place at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Parish, 135 S. Buesching Road.
